Flatshare sustainability

When people live together, they form a social group and have to feel responsible for the impact of their community. Living sustainable as a group relies on communication and participation. However, when it comes to sharing, it has to do with honesty and fairness as well. This project set out to improve flat sharing sustainability taking into account the reality of such living arrangements, nicely captured in the book ‘I lick my cheese’.

Improving sustainability in a flatshare means to encourage communication and to help create self-awareness of ones impact on the group. In addition, it has to be as little of a compromise as possible and fit around existing habits and behaviours as much as possible.
